James Gann

August 25, 1964 - July 24, 2023

Jim passed peacefully in the arms of Jesus surrounded by loved ones on July 24th, 2023.

Jim worked as a handyman at a retirement community, he was loved by many of the people that he helped. Sometimes he was just someone to talk to and loved what he did.

He is survived by his wife, Denis Carr: children, Jeremy Jones, Sallia Martin, Nina Strandberg, Michael Strandberg, Betty Strandberg, Stevie Strandberg, Marshal Carr, Juel Carr, Monnie Carr; mother, Karen S. Gann; brothers, Ronnie, Steven, & Billy Gann; sister, Kimberly Thrasher; extended family members, Alisa Gann, Tiki Gann, Stormy Thrasher, & Leigh Gann; 26 nieces & nephews; Pappy to 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and a host of friends that is too numerous to list. He was preceded in death by his father Paul R. Gann; and brother, David Hinesley. We will be having a ” Celebration of Life ” on August 26th. Location to be determined.

Arrangements were handled by the Cremation Society of Indiana.

Jim was an amazing big brother. He had a booming voice and a gentle spirit. He embodied the commandment of Christ to love others. He was never one to judge others, and always showed kindness. I will miss him but know I’ll see him again in Heaven. RIP brother. Love, your sis,❤️
