David Michael Combs, age 61 born in Connersville Indiana in 1962, passed away peacefully in his home Thursday, February 29, 2024. Born in Connersville in 1962 to Carlo and Pat Combs, he would be the second of six children. He was a formal Laurel resident and graduated from Laurel High School in 1984
He is survived by his parents, Carlo, and Pat Combs of Rushville; brother, Michael Combs of Shelbyville; Sisters, Melissa Spires of Beech Grove, Jeanie Sullivan of Indianapolis, and Sherry Kordish of Boerne, Texas. Connersville. Also, surviving are many nieces and nephews as well as many cousins in Connersville, Laurel, Kentucky, Texas, and all around the country. He is preceded in death by his sister Terri Tanner and a niece.
He was employed at Meridian Automotive for a few years and worked in construction while doing odd jobs. He was great with his hands, and he loved the DeWalt brand tools. He served in the military for three years while working on his computer certificate. He was a gamer and took pride in helping others learn about computers. He loved to play chess and head-to-head play station games with his brother.
He had dreams of building a log cabin in the woods. He could draw very well, and he drew the huge Laurel Panther on the wall of the High School gymnasium.
He was very saddened with the loss of his sister Terri Tanner. He was always a good friend and brother, he loved his brothers, sisters, and family.
He did not want to bother anyone and spent a lot of time alone while battling diabetes for the last few years of his life.
David knew there was God!
