Darlene Kay Allen

Darlene “Dee” Kay Allen, 63, Markleville, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

She was born March 9, 1960 in Anderson, Indiana to Darrell E Allen and Sharon (Conway) Flohr.

Dee graduated from Warren Central High School in 1978, then achieved a Certificate in wildlife/forestry conservation from Harcourt Learning Direct in 1994. She also graduated as a massage therapist from Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics in 2012.

She loved spending time with her family and being on the water fishing and being out in nature.

Her past times included camping, hiking, and sitting around a fire until the sun came up. She also loved putting on a good record and truly feeling the music in her soul. Dee enjoyed video games and played games since Atari was invented. She spent many hours playing Zelda in her last few years.

Dee is survived by her father, Darrell E. Allen; mother & stepfather, Sharon & Ron Flohr; sisters, Tammy Nevins of Pendleton, Tonya (Ted) King of Greenfield, and Mary (Denny) Raines of Greenfield; daughter & son-in-law, Jamie & Jon Hosier of Markleville; son, Jacob McNutt of Anderson; grandchildren, Tyler Hosier, and Kinsey Hosier (Holly Benge) all of Markleville. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Darrell “Buck” Allen Jr. and Jack Allen.

Arrangements were entrusted to Cremation Society of Indiana.
