Robert Bradford Whitacre
NOBLESVILLE- Robert Bradford Whitacre, 45, died unexpectedly March 9th, 2020, at his residence. He was born October 12th, 1974 in Kokomo, IN the son of Robert V. Whitacre and Sharon L. Whitacre (deceased).
Brad graduated from Northwestern High School, class of 1993. On May 18th, 1996, Brad married the love of his life, Sonya Kay (Smith) Whitacre, and eventually settled in Noblesville, IN. They celebrated 23 years of marriage in 2019. Brad was a doting father to their son, Benjamin Joseph Whitacre, born March 22nd, 2007. Brad was most recently employed through IPL, working in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for 23 years. Brad shared his love of hunting, fishing, kayaking, caving, and the great outdoors with his son and close friends. He enjoyed woodworking and Boy Scout events with his son.
Brad was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Whitacre, Grandma and Grandpa Dague, Grandma and Grandpa Whitacre, and Grandpa Brower. He is survived by his wife, Sonya Kay (Smith) Whitacre, his son, Benjamin Joseph Whitacre, his father, Robert V. Whitacre, sisters Shanda (Whitacre) Whitaker and Shannon (Whitacre) Lawler, brother, Rodney Brandon Whitacre, and many other loved ones.
Visitation will be held from 2-2:30pm on Saturday, March 14th, with a celebration of life service immediately following at Freedom Church, 1361 Christian Ave., Noblesville, IN, 46060.
