Denise Renee Jewell

March 1, 1958 - January 25, 2020

Denise Renee (Kirkhoff) Jewell, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away at Indiana University Methodist Hospital on January 25^th, 2020. She was born on March 1^st, 1958 in Indianapolis to Harry, Jr. and Jacquelyn (Felts) Kirkhoff.

Denise graduated from North Central High School, then later completed cosmetology school enjoying over 35 years in her profession. She attended Augusta Christian Church where she was also married. In February 1978, Denise welcomed her daughter, Maygan Jewell-Silvers.

She enjoyed spending her time with family at Raccoon Lake participating in all boating activities, especially water skiing. Denise always cherished her time spent with her family and friends.

Denise is survived by her daughter, Maygan; and her sister, Kay A. (Kirkhoff) Fulk. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry, Jr. and Jacquelyn Kirkhoff.

A Memorial Celebration lantern release will be held on February 28^th, 2020 at Lincoln Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6851 S. Indianapolis Rd, Whitestown, IN 46075. Guests are encouraged to please arrive at 6:30pm prior to the release scheduled for 7:00pm.

I am so sorry to hear about Denise’s passing. She was such a talented hairdresser and special person. I was a client of her’s for over 20 years and she gave all of my children their first haircuts! A couple of special memories are when my son wouldn’t sit still and Denise calmly led him to a window where he could watch traffic while she knelt down and finished his cut and when one of my daughters was little she had a beauty shop set and when she played with it she called herself Beauty Shop Denise! Denise had an impact on our lives and many others. She will be missed. Prayers for her family and friends.
