William “Bill” Glen Townsend was born May 19th, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Martha Lucille Townsend. He passed away Friday, January 24th in Avon, Indiana.
Bill spent most of his life lusting after antique cars. Bill loved old cars and photography. He always had his camera in his pocket and a well kept car that was always ready to be photographed. His love for cars lead him to his ideal job. Bill was employed at Henry’s Professional Automotive Detailing in Indianapolis. It was there that he found the family that he had been longing for. With new family, Bill was able to attend birthday parties, camping trips, family dinners, and many other important events.
Bill loved to work, but he also loved to shop. If he wasn’t at work he could often be found shopping at the local Goodwill, or riding his Harley Davidson. Bill loved to come home with “goodies” to share with everyone. Bill truly had a generous heart and loved making other people happy.
He is survived by Maegan, Michael, Marissa & William Henry, Stephanie, Jason, Natalie, and Kylie Moore, as well as his extended work family. Bill’s great ideas and generosity will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of your choice.
