Rachel A. Chu, 19, of Carmel, IN, died August 8, 2019. She was born February 6, 2000 in Mountain View, CA to Edward and Kathryn Plasterer Chu. Rachel was a pure soul who faced many challenges and inspired those around her. Rachel particularly enjoyed the Indy Folk series, Symphony on the Prairie, and the local summer concert series.

Rachel lost her twin sister, Rebecca, at birth. She is survived by her parents and her brother, Andrew Fry (wife Julie) and nephews Dylan and Austin Fry of San Diego, CA. Also surviving are her grandmother, Lola Plasterer, and uncles Harold, Gary and Roger Plasterer, all of Warren, IN; aunt Carolyn of Huntington, IN; uncle Stephen Drake of St. George, Utah; and aunt Nancy Chu Meyers of Northville, MI. She is also preceded in death by grandparents Paul A. Plasterer, Hugh Chu, and Billie Mae Chu.

Dear Kay and Ed, my deepest sympathies go to you. You have poured 19 years of your love and devotion into Rachel and suddenly the vessel is gone - but the love lives on, in your hearts and in the hearts of all whose lives were touched by her.
