Sarah Christine Scheidt Hinton 36 passed away March 3, 2019 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN with immediate family by her side. She was born Laura Jimenez on February 5, 1983 in Amarillo, TX to Juan Jimenez Jr. and Rachel A. Willis. She was adopted on March 27, 1997 by Jim and Beverly Scheidt, that is when she became Sarah Christine Scheidt. Sarah was a 2002 graduate of Western Boone Jr./Sr. High School. On November 22, 2008 Sarah married Michael Hinton.
Sarah was a care taker her entire life. She put everyone else’s needs before her own, even if she had to do without. Her fun-loving nature made her the life of the party. Sarah loved being outside spending time with friends and family. She lived for the time spent with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and God children. Sarah was such a giving person that she was a registered organ donor. Even in death she is still helping others.
Sarah is survived by her husband Michael Hinton of Indianapolis, IN; her parents Jim & Beverly Scheidt of Joliet, IL and Rachel A. Willis of Indianapolis, IN; her siblings Nina (Eric) Mullen of Jacksonville, FL; Juan (Laura) Jimenez of Bicknell, IN; Christian Barco of San Diego, CA; & Rosale Rayburn of Indianapolis, IN; and brother-in-law Thomas (Sonja) Hinton of Indianapolis, IN. her nieces and nephews include Jayce Jimenez, Olivia Mullen, Maxwell Mullen, Victoria Hinton, Shanell, Lawshanda, Tameshia, Joshua Hinton, Thomas Hinton, Trista Kershner & Erik Kershner. Great nephews include Zion, Eli & Avery Tyree. God children include Alvin aka Chunky (whom Sarah helped raise for 7 years of his life), Dakota, Ethan, Caleb, Layla, Rinoa, Teanna aka Tete, & Troy aka Buddha.
A special thank you to Candace Ulmer for helping Sarah throughout her childhood and into adulthood. Also, Aunt Nancy Jeannie Kay for her commitment to Sarah throughout her life all the way up to her last moment on Earth.
Sarah was proceeded in death by her grandfather Dallas Willis, grandmother Nina Willis, her daddy Juan Jimenez Jr., sister Crystal Russell, and brother Steven Scheidt.
There will be a celebration of life for Sarah on May 11th at Garfield Park Burrello Family Center from 11-3. Please bring your favorite dish, meat will be provided. Family asks that no one brings alcohol, knives, or guns to the celebration.
