Barbara Jean Wood

December 3, 1928 - January 3, 2022

Barbara Jean Wood, aged 93, of Mooresville, Indiana, passed away on January 3, 2022 at Hendricks Regional Health Center. Barbara was born on December 3,1928 a daughter of the late Nelson and Marie Brines. Barbara is survived by her children Carole Smith, Susan Proehl and her husband Marcus Proehl, grandchildren Scott Woodard, Jackie Reeves, Shannon Flanary Christina Johnson, and great grandchildren Dakota Reeves and Ficher Sluss. In addition to her parents Barbara is preceded in death by her first husband, James Joseph Lucarelli and her second husband Richard George Wood. A memorial Celebration of Life is planned for Spring 2022. The Cremation Society of Indiana, 4115 S. Shelby Street, Indianapolis, IN has been entrusted with the arrangements.

My heart goes out to all of the family. Barbara was a sister to me. We grew up together and lived close to each other, attended kindergarten, grade school and high school together and she married my brother. I will miss talking with her but I know she is with God now. I had shared a saying by Winnie the Pooh to Piglet with her recently. "If there ever comes a day that we cannot be together, keep me in your heart and I will stay there forever," She will be in my heart.
