Henry Bernard Devenney fell asleep in death on May 30, 2021 at IU Health West Hospital. Henry, a longtime resident of Clayton, Indiana, was 74 years old.
Henry was born in Camden, New Jersey to Andrew and Rose Devenney. He grew up with one brother and two sisters.
Henry is survived by his wife, Bonnie Devenney; 2 children: Michelle (Jeremy) Hunsicker, Misty (Laramie) Wilson; 2 grandchildren: Myranda (Jacob) Cole, Breanna Hunsicker; 1 great-grandchild: Brier Cole.
Henry retired from Allison’s Transmission in Indianapolis where he worked as an Instrument Repairman. His hobbies included ham radio, radio control airplanes and helicopters, and motorcycles. Henry enjoyed troubleshooting and fixing any type of mechanical item, which his family and friends frequently took advantage of. He served in the US Army as a paratrooper.
A memorial service will be held virtually via Zoom video conference on June 12, 2021 at 4:00 pm ET. A slideshow will begin the program. Anyone who would like to attend can request additional information by contacting the family by email at plainfield.jw@gmail.com
