Lori’s journey began on November 24th 1967, when she was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her parents are Elaine (Wayne)(D)) Hubenthal and David(D) (Diane) Schjoll. Her siblings are Denise Schjoll (D), Nicole Hubenthal (D), David Schjoll, and Michael Owen. Lori grew up in her beloved town of London, Indiana within the Triton Central community. Lori enjoyed working as a cashier at her family ran Sugar Creek Market in her school years. Lori had met sweetheart, Gregg Schulze, during her high school years, and she went on to graduate H.S. in 1986 and marry Gregg in 1989. Lori then went on to receive her Cosmetology certification in 1990.
Lori and Gregg’s family soon grew by having their 3 sons, Brandon Scott, 31, Christopher Shawn, 29, and Joshua Shelby, 26. The boys all grew up and have children of their own, making Lori a Yaya and this is what she was most proud of. Her grandkids began with Ellcie, Maximus, Annette, Rose, Miles, Bear, and the seventh baby girl, Myla, will arrive in March 2021. These babies gave her a profound purpose, as she loved them all so dearly.
Her hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren and starting up her very own “Dog the Bounty Hunter Investigators Club”. This elite club was exclusive to ladies having the curiosity of investigating crime and accidents. This was always a fascination of their club. She also loved being the crafty person, making an abundance of different gifts for family and friends. Lori loved gardening and mostly transplanting and sharing plant life with everyone. She enjoyed attending concerts through her years, bargain shopping, and vacationing anywhere she could put her toes in the sand, laying out by the pool, as well as, walking on the beach collecting shells.
Lori’s favorite destination was Kona, Hawaii, where she was blessed to take family vacation on several occasions and Kona was also their chosen location for her Honeymoon in 1989. Her favorite flower was a Hibiscus, her favorite artist was Blake Shelton, her favorite movies were Urban Cowboy and Dirty Dancing.
Unbeknown to Lori, she had a genuine ability to make anyone in her presence just feel welcomed with her affection and love. Her powerful love for people is why so many who knew her genuinely loved her, as she knew no stranger. Lori was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend who left an imprint on anyone’s heart she met.
There must be some significance to Lori losing her battle, on her birthday, November 24, 2020. She was 53 years young on this day. Lori was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, whom she spent many of her childhood days with, she was everyone’s “mom – mom”. She was also preceded in death by her aunt, Lisa Jeanne, whom she shared an incredibly special bond with.
Even with Lori’s time coming to the end of her story, we realize it is her time to begin her new story of her forever life in Heaven with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Lori, we will honorably continue your memories.
Until we meet again,
Your loving Ohana (family)
