82 years young, Dick, “Heidi”, as some of his friends called him, died on November 16th. Although born in Quincy, IL, he spent most his life on Southside of Indy and Beech Grove.
He enjoyed doing things his own way. Dick wore many hats working as a CPA, postal worker, Army reserves, clinical trial subject, and landscaper. He was active in basketball and even tried out for the Pacers in 1967. He was a frequent visitor of libraries and bookstores. Dick was a Master Gardner who spent many hours digging, planting, and collecting. He enjoyed everything about Indiana musicians and authors. He especially loved Jazz.
Dick is survived by daughter, Kelli (Christian) Wilson; son, Hudson (Julie) Heidbreder; sister, Carol (Frank) Minardo; and 3 grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The Cremation Society of Indiana and private family services will be planned for a future date.
