Michael D. Gibson

August 29, 1949 - October 23, 2020

Michael D. Gibson, age 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020. He was born on Monday, August 29, 1949 in Indianapolis to Archie and Francis Gibson, both of whom precede him in death. Michael was gifted musically, and studied music at Indiana University.

He is survived by his daughter: Kelly (Laurence) Taylor of Fairland, and son: Ian Michael Gibson of Nashville, Tennessee.

Michael is also preceded in death by his brother: Bobby Carter.

A private scattering ceremony is pending. Arrangements are in the care of the Cremation Society of Indiana.

Michael was an awesome classmate at Harry E. Wood High School who was involved in the school's choir, mixed ensemble, men's quartet, speech club and thespians group. He participated in several theater productions at the school. Michael was a friend to everyone, always cheerful and a loyal Woodchuck who was well liked by his classmates and teachers. It was a joy to know Michael. RIP Woodchuck... <3

Michael is a 1967 graduate of Harry E. Wood High School. The Harry E. Wood High School Alumni Association is saddened to hear of Michael's passing. We share our thoughts and prayers and bask in the memory of the time shared as a member of our 'Woodchuck' family.

As a former teacher of Michael's, I was delighted to reconnect with him two years ago. We shared a lot of songs through texts. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing.

Mr.Gibson was an Awesome person to care for.. I was his Cna at CNR and we laughed together alot, he had a very pleasant soul and will be missed
