Janet E. Jones

July 3, 1948 - September 3, 2020

Janet Jones passed away after a brief illness in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 3, 2020.

She was born in Anderson, Indiana and graduated from Highland High School. She went on to graduate from Anderson Teachers College and also received her Masters of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary and was a Church of God ordained minister. She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt. She enjoyed geocaching, watching movies, reading books, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte (Schlabach) Jones; father, Joe W. Jones; sister, Judith Singer; and nephew, Jeffrey Singer.

She is survived by her brother, Robert (Cathy) Jones; brother, Joe E. (Bobbie) Jones; sister Ronda (Phil) Coon; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and lots of friends.

We will have a celebration of her life on September 13 at 1pm at Mounds State Park at the Woodland Shelter. She will be laid to rest at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson, IN.

Tiffany and Natalie, you know your Papaw and Nana have been asking our Lord to comfort you and the rest of the family in this loss of a beloved Aunt. You were a ray of sunshine in her life. She knew she was Loved.
