Thomas J Fox, 63, of Indianapolis, IN passed away June 18, 2025.
In Loving Memory of Thomas Fox
1962 – 2025
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas “Tom” Fox, who departed this life peacefully at home after a short illness on June 18th at the age of 63. He graduated from Roncalli HS in 1980.
Tom was a kind, loyal soul and a truly great man — a devoted husband, loving son, cherished brother, trusted brother-in-law, and a faithful friend to many. He loved his coworkers and clients at Ress Motor Works where he serviced BMW’s. To know him was to be touched by his generosity, humor, and unwavering willingness to help others. He lived a life of service — always the first to lend a hand, offer advice, or share a story that could bring a smile.
A gifted mechanic and talented handyman, Tom had a knack for fixing just about anything and was always tinkering, restoring, or building. He had a deep love for classic cars — especially 1970 Mustangs and 70s hot rods. His garage was a reflection of his passions: filled with diecast cars, vintage tools, and Coca-Cola memorabilia.
His life had a soundtrack: the soulful sounds of blues, the grit of old rock and roll, and the smooth rhythms of R&B classics echoed through his days and memories.
Tom leaves behind his beloved wife Mary, his devoted mother Rose Mary , two loving sisters Mary Ann Fox Callahan (Bob) and Monica Fox Bova (Paul), and a brother Andy (Tricia), as well as a circle of neighbors he considered family. He leaves behind an extended family of in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He now reunites with his father, his mother-in-law Doris and his best friend Tim Lee.
A funeral mass is planned for July 3rd at 10am at St Mark’s parish in Indy followed by a brunch at the parish.
Though he is no longer with us in body, the spirit of his kindness, craftsmanship, humor, and love will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The Cremation Society of Indiana, 4115 Shelby Street. Please leave a message or share a memory.
