Mrs. Ruth Remetta(Rodenbeck)

February 25, 1934 - June 1, 2022

Ruth Remetta (Rodenbeck) passed away Wednesday, June 1st due to complications from a recent stroke.

She was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to Theodore and Lorinda Rodenbeck. She has a bother, Theodore (Ted) Rodenbeck (Ann), and a sister Kathy Tripcony (Denny).

Ruth is survived by her husband, John, children Debra Remetta, John Remetta, Elizabeth Sweeney (James), Sara McKevitt (Tom), Grandchildren; John (Stephani), Andrew Remetta, Bryce Cooper (Courtney), BreAnn Burns (Jarrod), James Sweeney (Jessica), Meghan, Jack, Grace, and Claire McKevitt, and great grandchildren Christopher, Riley, Stori, Priya, Dillon, Reese, and Khloe.

She was our bright light on earth, now much brighter in Heaven and will glow in our hearts forever.

Please join Ruth’s family for a gathering at 11:30 am with a service to follow at noon, Friday, June 10th at Southport Presbyterian Church, 7525 McFarland Blvd., Indianapolis, IN 46237.

Ruth was a beautiful, Christian lady. She will be missed by many. Another angel now in heaven. Bev & Bob Heid

Ruth was such a sweet lady! John and Ruth and my mother and father were apartment building neighbors and friends from all the way back at Concordia Teachers College in River Forest Illinois. They were neighbors again in Greenwood for around 15 years! I know she will be missed but we'll see her again in heaven someday. Condolences to John and the kids and grandkids.

Ruth was such a gracious lady. Loved her smile and positive Christian attitude. She will be greatly missed. However, it’s wonderful to know she is filled with joy in Heaven.

We shared the same Birthday-February 25-so I look forward to us celebrating in Heaven together one day!

My deepest condolences to the family and John. She definitely was a major part of our Senior Luncheons along with John. She will be sorely miss I pray God's peace and comfort be with John and the family.
