Lena Faye Estes, “Faye”, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on June 2nd, 2022. She was born on May 4th, 1941, to the late Lewis and Mossie Deaton.
Faye was married to Jimmie Estes, who preceded her in death. She is survived by three of her four children, Bari, Jennifer, and Mike. Her son, Scott, preceded her in death.
She also left behind eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
During the early part of her career, she worked in an accounting office. As her children were growing up, she opted to switch careers so that she could be home with her children. She was employed at Plainfield schools. She also worked for the Wayne Township school system when she retired.
After she retired, she enjoyed a peaceful life. In particular, she enjoyed not having to cook if she didn’t want to. She loved her long drives and all that nature had to offer her.
Although a very private person, Faye is, and always will be, fondly remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have her in their life to make cherished memories. She was a generous, protective, and a sacrificing mother. We were blessed with her lifelong love and support.
At her request, there were no public services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The Cremation Society of Indiana, 4115 Shelby Street.
