Arthur Junior Tackett

January 24, 1972 - January 6, 2020

My beloved father, Arthur Junior Tackett, climbed the stairway to heaven on January 6th, 2020.

Junior was born on January 24th, 1972 in Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Franklin Tackett and Evaline Belle Tackett (Romans). He was the youngest of 4 siblings.

He is survived by his son, Kyle (Kaylee) Caudill; grandchildren, Gracie and Cohen Caudill; his sisters, Roxie (Randy) Adkins, Debbie (Roy) Caver, and brother, Donny (Shirley) Tackett; his step-father, Ronald Reuter, and his many nieces and nephews.

Dad was an avid rock music lover, with his favorite band being AC/DC. He loved all sorts of fishing, whether that be deep sea or just popping a line into a local pond. He had great love for salt water fish tanks. He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and grandparent. Dad was a gentle soul and always helping others. His last act of generosity being he was an organ donor saving several lives.

Fisherman’s Prayer

God, grant that I may live to fish

until my dying day.

And when the final cast is made

and life has slipped away,

I pray that God’s great landing net

Will catch me in its sweep

And in His mercy, God will judge me

Big enough to keep.

Amen.

Junior . It beaks my heart your not here with me anymore . Your with your mother and Georgia now so I know your truly happy. Kyle my heart goes out to you. I'm so very sorry to hear about your father. I'm sorry I never had the pleasure of meeting your Dad but, he had to gave been a very Loving, Caring & highly respectable man. Because I have met you, I see all the things Kaylee post. Your father raised & taught you properly how to treat & care for a woman. I'm so happy for you & Kaylee both to have met each other. She deserves a man like you, which in return must reflect the wonderful man your father must have been. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Though we dont know God's plan, he has a reason. Sending lots of Love & Hugs to You, Kaylee & the kids

Junior was like an uncle to me well more like a big brother I met him when I was in second grade he was friends with my parents and as time went by we developed a relationship as well he was a good man very kind would do anything for anybody and I'm going to miss him dearly he was fun to be around an awesome person and always had a smile on his face something that somebody can't forget

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Junior was my best friend I love him like a brother. I Cant believe he is gone. Sending love to the family from Maryland. Some of my best memories my endless summers was spent running around with my best friend. Fishing from Morning until night at the beach. Cat fishing all night long in a some muddy lake in Indiana. Driving to every salt water fish store from Indy to the east coast because we both shared a love for salt water. Sleep overs as a kid in my dads camper. He will never be replaced in my life and will always be in my memories. Rock on and rest easy my friend.

JR you will be tremendously missed! I remember your love for music, fish tanks and Chow dogs! You were a huge part of my childhood and I pray you Rest In Peace.

We are greatly sorry for your loss. He was a life long friend who I lost contact with. He was a true and dear friend that I will Dearly miss. Sam and Tami Bryson.
