It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family of Keith Miller announces his passing after a laborious battle with Covid-19 at the University of Indiana Hospital. Keith was born on August 17th 1970, he was an avid lover of music and the outdoors. Keith embraced life with all he had and lived each day to the fullest. Keith is survived by his soulmate and wife of 13 years Emily Miller along with Buster their fur child, father Bobby Earl Miller, twin brother Kevin Miller (Anita), sister Rhonda Tagg, special brother in law Deron Tagg (Kim), nieces: Caitlyne Miller, Amanda Merriman and Nicholle Tagg, his Aunt Carolyn Massie along with many other family and friends. Keith is proceeded in death by his mother Judy Williams and nephew Nathan Miller.
To ensure the safety of Keith’s family and friends a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. It was Keith’s wish that any monetary donations be made in his honor to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
My fondest memories are of sitting around the camp fire in the Boundary Waters with Keith, Jim and John telling jokes, laughing and just having the time of our lives. I went to the Boundary waters with Keith three times. Each trip is a cherished and happy memory because of him. God speed my friend!
So good to know you. Rest in peace
Keith was a good soul! His enthusiasm for the outdoors is legendary. I enjoyed our many trips to the Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoe Area as well as our fishing trips to Lake Erie. It was a pleasure knowing Keith, and I can honestly say I never heard him say a negative word about anyone. He will be forever missed. Far winds and following seas, my friend!
I played with Keith in Shadow Ridge in 2019. I was touched by how proud he was of the band’s legacy, and how he could pick up the phone and book the band, based on that legacy and his name. He was a good musician, and a good friend to me. My deepest condolences to Emily, Bob, and the rest of the family, and to Keith’s many friends.
