Susan Baker

Susan Foster Baker, age 73, passed on to her heavenly home on 07/11/2022. Sue, as many knew her, was married to Michael Baker, the love of her life, who passed away in 2021. Sue was born to Charles A. Foster and Pauline MCloud Foster as their only child and grew up In Lafayette, Indiana. Sue graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1967. She attended Indiana State College and graduated from Indiana University with degrees in Occupational Therapy and Psychology on the IUPUI campus. She served as an occupational therapist in numerous facilities and schools including Wishard Hospital before her retirement in 2019.

As a daddy’s girl, Sue enjoyed fishing with her father and mother on vacations. Friends will remember Sue for her kindness and support during difficult times and a loving caretaker to her husband Michael and family. As a collector of angel figurines, her most inspiring angel is Sue herself. Sue and Michael enjoyed displaying his car at car shows as well as traveling the state.

Susan is preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her stepson Christopher Miller and her four adopted children, Anjelica, Angela, John Paul, and Billy along with Sabrina and ten grandchildren. She is also survived by her devoted dog and companion Sadie Sue. The family  wishes to express their appreciation to those who helped with Susan’s care.

A memorial service will take place in the future at the Valley Mills Christian Church located at 5555 Kentucky Avenue. Donations can be made to the church in Susan’s honor.                                        Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cremation Society of Indiana.
