The life story of Mr Ricky L. Buchanan

Born in Muncie, Indiana May 15,1959 to Lee Alexander Buchanan and Barbara Ann Buchanan. Ricky was a Man of many trades and wore many hats in his life! He took pride in his Family and the Value of Family mean’t more than anything to him. Ricky leaves his two daughters Chila and Angela Buchanan to cherish his memory, both of Indianapolis Indiana. A bonus Son, David Hanyard which he shared with a life long special friend, LaJuana and one surviving aunt Julia (Judy) Storms both of Muncie Indiana. Our Beloved Father was preceded in Death by both his Mother & Father; two bothers, Harvey(Baby) and Elmer; niece, Angela Meadors; and cousin, Kyle Harris. Our beloved had a host of siblings who he held very close to his heart. Henry (Thomas), Homer, Clarissa (Chrissy), Mary, Byron (Buchie), Carolyn, Leroy, Linda, Tommy & Sherry (Twins), David, Kathy and Kimmy. All of Ricky’s nieces, nephews and greats held a special place in his heart. Ricky shared his last days building special bonds with his four grandchildren whom they all knew Ricky as, “Papa”. AaMiya, Aspen, AaKing and AaDream will carry on his legacy forever…

In honor of our father, the Buchanan family will host A Celebration of Life in Muncie Indiana at 900 S Penn Street on Sat June 22nd at 3:30pm. We extend a warm invitation for everyone to join us rather near or far as we celebrate Ricky, Daddy, Papa aka Red
