Nancy Anne Scott

After a long, hard-fought battle with cancer, Nancy Anne Scott passed away peacefully at Life’s Journey in Avon, Indiana on May 14th, 2022 at the age of 71, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born on October 18th, 1950, to Robert and Willetta (Pollard) Scott of New Albany, Indiana. When she was just 15, she met the one who she would share her entire life with, Timothy, and they were married on April 20th, 1969, at St. Mark’s United Church of Christ in New Albany Indiana.

Nancy spent most of her working years in childcare, and happily retired from Bright Horizons in 2010. She enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with her family. You could find her most days cuddled up on the couch enjoying television and sharing a snack with her fur babies.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Willetta, as well as her beloved four-legged friends Escher and Djembe. She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Timothy, as well as her three daughters Julie Scott, Carrie Owens (Billy) and Kristin Landers. Also left behind to remember her are her six grandchildren Cameron, Kaden, Ryan, Jared, Carter, and Brinley (or Miss B as she was lovingly referred to as), her one and only great-grandson Rowen, and her precious goldendoodle Fiona.

At her request, no service will be held. A celebration of life gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of sending flowers or gifts, please consider making a charitable donation to your local animal shelter.
