knew Mike as a coworker and have worked with him the past couple years. He was a great teacher, always answered questions and always had the answers. Mike dedicated his professional life to working for our system as a web developer. He always appreciated those who served and considered what he was doing to be important.
Mike had no patience for malarky from upper management or fellow coworkers and just wanted everyone to do a good job. And he did. Everyday. Our system works as well as it does because of Mike’s insight and skills. He would curse out a problem, go for a smoke break and come back with the fix. He gave compliments when they were deserved and called you out when you needed called out.
Mike showed up every day to the office at 6 and left only when he had to. He never expected a thank you or a pat on the back. Mike was no nonsense. But with his passing, he is irreplaceable. Mike was instrumental to our system and a staple to the team. He was a friend. And I’m sorry for his passing and for his family. May he rest in peace.
