Michael Harcourt

January 9, 1947 - November 14, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael (Mike) Paul Harcourt of Speedway, IN, on November 14th, 2025. Mike was born on January 9th, 1947, to his loving parents, Robert and Rosalie Harcourt.

Mike was a talented and avid golfer spending countless hours on the golf course. He took great pride in developing the skill set of young golfers. He was a passionate sports enthusiast and served in the U.S. Army.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Carrie Joyce, Rachael Harcourt, Kate Harcourt-Gibson; nephew Brian (Jennifer) Harcourt, nieces Amy Harcourt and Beth Culberson, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mike will be held in early Spring 2026 at the Moscow Cemetery in Milroy, IN.

Mike Harcourt will be dearly missed, but his memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he loved. Rest in peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Indiana University Health Hospice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation Society of Indiana.

Dear Family Members, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Mike was a high school classmate of mine back in Speedway, and those days gave all of us some of the best memories of our lives. Mike was part of the most popular group in our class, and I remember him as a talented golfer on our varsity team, exceptionally smart—he was in all the advanced classes—and simply an all-around good guy. Although I didn’t spend much time with him outside of school back then, I always remember him as friendly, upbeat, and genuinely pleasant to be around. In recent years, thanks to social media, I had the chance to reconnect with him. We found we shared many warm memories, and I truly enjoyed the opportunity to catch up after so many decades.
