Kevin O’Hara, 60, a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 28th, after a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer.
Kevin was born on August 23rd, 1961, to parents James and Nancy O’Hara. Kevin is survived by his children, Shane, Cassidy, and Casey (CJ) O’Hara; step-mother, Sherri O’Hara; brother, Pat O’Hara and spouse Cathy; sister, Heidi O’Hara; nephews, Sean and Rory O’Hara; niece, Haley O’Hara; cousin, Jim O’Hara and spouse Patti; cousin, Tim O’Hara; numerous maternal and paternal cousins; and cats, Fish and Emma.
Kevin was a successful business owner and master plumber in the Indianapolis area for nearly 30 years. Kevin’s plumbing career began at the age of 10 as he learned the tools of the trade from his father James, owner of O’Hara Water Conditioning & Plumbing. Kevin earned a degree in plumbing engineering from IUPUI in 1990, following in his father’s footsteps. Kevin’s hobbies included celebrating St. Patty’s day, spending time with family, relaxing by the pool with a cold beer, and telling jokes.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at IU West, IU Simon Cancer Center, and Kindred Hospice, who provided Kevin with competent and compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family on Saturday, July 2nd. Details of the event will be posted to Kevin’s Facebook page.
