Deborah Kay “Debbie” Moore Walden, 65, of Marion, Indiana passed on September 25, 2022. Debbie was born July 11, 1957. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1975 and married James Walden in 1977. Together they have two daughters, Loni (Kokomo) and Lori (Speedway).
Debbie worked at Eastbrook Schools for over 20 years. She began as a bus attendant and then finished her career as a lunch lady. Debbie loved working with the kids at school and found it very rewarding. She was also long time Girl Scout leader and camp director. For many years, she was an avid plastic canvas maker. She loved and collected all things penguin.
Debbie is survived by her husband, James; her daughters, Loni Walden (Nate Johnston) and Lori Walden (Raquel Mertz); her granddaughters Naomi and Elsie Mertz; and her siblings, Richard Moore (Fairfield, Ohio), Douglas Moore (Tampa, Florida), and Janet Garrett (Hamilton, Ohio). She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Lonzo Moore and Irene Moore Walls; and her brother, Bruce Randal Moore.
In keeping the wishes of Debbie, there will be no funeral services. Her ashes will be interred at Rose Hill Burial Park Cemetery, in Hamilton, Ohio, later.
