Rena “Cindy” Ash, 73 of Glenwood, passed away peacefully with family on June 27, 2020. She was born on September 1, 1946 in Laurel, IN to the late Herschel D. and Frances J. (Winters) Vail.

She married Donald Ash on September 8th, 1982. Cindy was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, canning, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Donald; her children, Robin (Mara) Dice of Indianapolis, IN, Melonie Lucas of Cumberland, IN, L. Doug Ash of Cincinnati, OH, and Latosha (Shawn) Tanksley of Glenwood, IN; step-children, Ricky (Kathy) Ash of Rushville, IN, Donald (Barb) Ash of Mathews, IN, and Doug (Melena) Ash of Rushville, IN; grandchildren, Ronald (Amy) Ash, Keona (Dustin) Parkinson, Ashley (Matt) Mosley, Trae Swift, Linzie (Shane) Bogenschutz, and Lexie (Maranda) Dice; great-grandchildren, Austin Ash, Chandler Ash, Lawrence Mosely, Zoey Ash, Riley Bogenschutz, Tyler Tanksley, Chase Bogenschutz, Ariah Wynn, Elijah Tanksley, Zayden Bogenschutz, Christopher Mosley, Easton Wynn, Lux Bogenschutz, and Bennett Wynn; brothers, Harry Vail and Donald Vail; sisters, Judy Hauntz, Beverly Fromm, Deborah Grizzell, and Francie Isaacs. “Aunt Cindy” will be missed by many, many nieces, and nephews.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Herschel Vail Jr, Patricia Allen, Gloria Linville, Ronnie Vail, Doris Dice, and Kenneth Vail; nephews, Harry Vail Jr. and Jerry Allen; niece, Julie Ann Hanson; and grandson, Donnie Ash.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on July 5, 2020 from 1pm to 5pm at the Columbia Township Community Center, 3520 W Columbia Rd, Connersville, IN 47331.

I'm gonna miss you my dear sister/aunt. Always a meal offered. Tell my mom and grandma I said I love them. You certainly gained your wings. As the song says go rest high on the mountain. Your work here is done (Vince Gill). I will never forget you or your sassy spunk .
