William Zupan

April 30, 1945 - March 31, 2020

William “Bill” Zupan Jr. (Dr. Z) , age 74, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his home in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born April 30, 1945 in Trenton, New Jersey. He traveled the world twice while he served in the Navy. Following his service he owned a Dive Shop in Miami Florida (he was fascinated by the ocean) and later, Dr. Z’s Harley Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He knew everything about a Harley. He really knew a little bit about everything.

He was also a Mason and belonged to Pentalpha Lodge No. 564, F. & A. M.

Bill will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, the BEST Papa in the entire world. Also one who put the needs of others above his own and treated everyone with respect and fairness.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Suzette Zupan (Beckham) and sister, Susan Zupan Barnes. He is also survived by his treasured children, Steven Zupan (Cassie), Nina Muhney (Chris) and Chere’ Zupan. He has nine grandchildren: Heather Dillard, Tiffany Zupan, Kendra Gard, Matthew Perkins, Zach Zupan, Amy Perkins, Alyssa Holst, Nick Holst and Kayla Gard. In addition, there are seven great grandchildren: Damien, Lilly, Nevaeh, James, Robby, Caleb, Lilah and one on the way.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, William Zupan and Veronica Zupan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s honor to Paralyzed Veterans of America and Stroke Survivors.

Arrangements are in the care of the Cremation Society of Indiana.

My cousins had the privilege of having Bill close to them. I know that even through those girls I was able to feel the love they shared. He had a beautiful impact on many lives and will truly be missed.

Bill was a great brother in law who lived his life as an example of what a man should be. He had good family values and was a friend to all. He will be dearly missed.

Bill was a good man, he was like a 2nd dad when i was little. Then my husband at the time needed some work done on his Harley every year there was something that needed fixed. He took it into the shop, an i went with him to pick up the bike an low an behold there was Bill.. i didnt know him as Dr Z until that day. I got the bigest hug that day an i feel he was as happy to see me as i was him. Just so you know we never had to have the bike worked again. Thank you Bill Dr.Z.... may you R.I.P. until we meet again.. ❤❤❤❤???
