Charles Phillip Palmer

October 3, 1939 - January 25, 2020

Charles “Chuck” Phillip Palmer died peacefully at his home on January 25, 2020 in Indianapolis at the age of 80. Charles was born on October 3, 1939 in Linton, IN to Barlow and Alice Palmer.

He proudly served in the United States Navy for over twenty years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Charles is survived by his wife, Loretta Palmer; brother Doug (Paula) Palmer of Portland, OR; and his children, Phillip (Sandi) Palmer, Patrick (Cathy) Palmer, Keith (Abby) Steele all of Indianapolis, IN, Misty (Gene Jr) Findley of Gainesville, FL, Lisa Felton of Maiden, NC, and Missy (Jamie) Lockwood of Beech Grove, IN . He also is survived by his beloved grandchildren, Desiree Caruso of Beech Grove, IN, Andrew (Michael Anderson) Caruso of Chicago, IL, Ty (Donah) Palmer and Cale (Kendra) Palmer of Anderson, IN, Mason Felton of Maiden, NC, Jacob Howard, Sam Steele, Caleb Steele, and Aidan Steele all of Indianapolis, IN, and Gene (Samantha) Findley III and Devyn (Stephen) Taylor of Gainesville, FL. Charles also leaves behind his great grandchildren, Landon Caruso and Violet Kriech of Beech Grove, IN, Ryleigh Palmer of Anderson, IN and Finlee Taylor, Harper Taylor, and Faith Findley of Gainesville, FL.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Barlow and Alice Palmer and his sister, Jan Felton of NC.

There will be no funeral service at this time, but a celebration of life is being planned for early spring.
