Douglas Rowley

March 2, 1947 - November 4, 2019

Fishers, Indiana – Doug Rowley, 72, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 at Prairie Lakes in Noblesville, Indiana. He was born March 2, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Bertha Rowley.

Doug served our country in the U S Army, completing a tour in Vietnam. He enjoyed playing golf, water volleyball, bocce, billiards and cards. He especially loved spending time with his two grandsons. Doug worked in public works as a manager for communities in Illinois; Evanston, Round Lake, and then retiring from Algonquin.

Doug is survived by his wife, Jane (Clavey); daughters, Heather (Adam) Brown and Kelly Rowley; and his 2 grandsons, Owen and Jack Brown. He is also survived by a sister, Marlene (Ron) Randall; and a brother, Rodney (Susan) Rowley. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Bertha Rowley; and a sister, Maxine (Dick) Hansen.

My condolences to Jane and the rest of the Rowley family. Doug was a great guy in many respects, but I think I'll miss his smiling face and razor sharp wit the most. Rest in peace buddy.
