Rebecca Sue Russell (Becky) died peacefully on May 1, 2019 in Indianapolis, IN at the age of 76.
Becky was born on February 18, 1943 in Indianapolis, IN to Sylvia and Francis Robertson. She attended Ben Davis High school.
Becky is survived by her sons: Terry L. Small and Timothy A. Small; daughters in law: Kathy Small and Deanna Small; grandchildren: Jeremy L. Small, Christopher A. Small, Natalie K. Small, Madeline J. Glass, Brendon J. Glass, Jessica L. Small; siblings: Martha Clift, Alice McWethy and Mary E. (Poncho) Batman; six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne Russell, daughter, Toni Small, and six siblings.
Becky worked for the State of Indiana Workforce Development for 43 years. She held several positions from a Claimstaker to a Fraud Investigator.
Becky was a world traveler, visiting places all around the world including: China, France, Germany, Alaska, Hawaii and many other places. She was a generous, witty, dedicated individual who loved her family, music and theatre and was very passionate about helping other people. Her life was truly an adventure! Becky was an active member of the Heartland Church of Christ and often volunteered at Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
Becky was also a member of RIPEA and the American Legion Auxiliary.
A Celebration is scheduled for May 4th, 2019 at Heartland Church of Christ, 1693 W. Main St. Greenwood, IN 46142. The celebration begins at 4:00 PM, services begin at 6:00 PM with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Becky’s life. Condolences can be sent to {URL}.
