Deedee Rose Batman Malott, 52, was called home to be with her Lord on March 28, 2019. She was born on June 10th, 1966 to Richard E. Batman and Mary E. (Poncho) Robertson Batman in Indianapolis, IN. She attended Stout Field Elementary, South Wayne Jr. High, and Ben Davis High School. While in grade school, she was active in 4H and was able to exhibit at the Indiana State Fair. She also delivered the Indy Star newspaper, where she won trips to St. Louis and Washington, D.C. While at BDHS, she was in the ROTC. She talked about joining the military, but she found boys, and all that changed. Dee loved animals and was always bringing in strays. This seemed to carry over to her adult life. Deedee married Phil R. Malott on June 13th, 1986. She is survived by her children: Desiree Hendricks (Jerry), Philip Edwin Malott, and Amanda Marie Latner. She has 4 grandchildren: Kirsten Michelle Roell, Morgan Michelle Roell, Blake Awesome Hendricks, and Toby Andrew Inman. Deedee worked for the Dept. of Workforce Development for over 20yrs. Dee never saw the bad in people. She had a good heart and would do without in order to help her family and friends. She had touched so many lives. Dee is proceeded in death by her 1st husband, Phil, her dad, Richard, and her brother, Richard Allen. A Celebration of Life will be held April 6th, 2019 at Heartland Church of Christ 1693 W. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46142. Visitation is from 10am til 12pm with the service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Julian Center.
