Alysha Nicole Howard, of Indianapolis, took her final breath on the 19th of July 2021, negligently attended to by the parasites that she was unable to escape.
Having fought, and many times overcome addiction, (she was no quitter), the “warden”, as she was affectionately known by those close to her, had been clean for almost a year. Alysha had completed intense therapy and counseling and had regained time and rights to her beloved son, Ryan. Alysha arose from actual homelessness, through hard work and sacrifice, to the state of a young lady with several jobs and her own home! A home that she worked diligently to improve. The highlight of this spring was her purchasing her own lawnmower and weed eater.
Surrounded by parasitic blood relation, those without the strength or love to make such changes, Alysha eventually succumbed to the weakness, or, dare I say, strength, that led her to continually care for these people she was unfortunate enough to be related to.
Alysha lived the last year of her life with pride and the hope that she was building a life that her son Ryan could be proud of. Alysha was preceded in death by her love, Dennis Powell, and is survived by her son, Ryan Neel, proud father, Matt Howard, closest friend and almost stepmother, Tahnee Burdine, nephews Christopher Howard and Travis Burdine, brother Jacob Howard and grandfather Rowdy Howard. Countless cousins and friends deserve mention. Despite her challenges, she was a shining light to those who truly knew her!!
