Erling James Alfredson

May 20, 1966 - January 6, 2021

Erling was born in Sioux Falls, SD. He moved to Chicago Heights, IL as a child then eventually to Lowell, IN and is a graduate of the 1985 class.

Erl married Barbara (Alfredson) Adkins in 1988 and they were married for 25 years before separating in 2013. They had four children together, Zackery (Kacey), Jake, Corey “Joey”, and Madelyn “Maddy” (Brandon Branch).

Erl had a long successful career as a manufacturing supervisor at UGN, Chicago Heights, IL and ALCOA, LaPorte, IN.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren, Lilith, Iris, Dante (Zack), Cameron, Kylie (Jake), Ayden and Jesse Branch (Maddy); siblings, Eric Alfredson, Terryl Johnson (Larry), Keith Alfredson, and Mark Rodgers; step-father, Merle ZumMallen; and step-mother Donna Alfredson; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Erl was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara ZumMallen (Merle) and father, Alan Dennis Alfredson (Donna)

No services were held for the public. A private memorial was held by immediate family only.
