Vincent Grzelak (Vince) age 78, formerly of Brookfield Illinois and Zionsville Indiana passed away October 28Th.
Vince was born October 22, 1942 to Henry and Mary Grzelak of Summit Illinois. Vince married the love of his life Karen Koci on August 25th 1962 and were married for 52 years when she passed. They raised 2 children together.
Vince was a graduate of Argo High School. Vince was an avid bowler holding the title of “King of Chicago” bowler in 1965. Through bowling the ABC circuit he was able to travel the country. He also enjoyed golfing and visiting his in-laws in Moab, Utah. He retired from American Wilbert Vault of Des Plaines Illinois.
Vince is proceeded in death by his wife Karen and his brother Dennis Grzelak. He is survived by son Gary(Lauri) of Mount Prospect, Illinois, daughter Diane DeTorrice, grandchildren Abby DeTorrice, Daniel DeTorrice, Allison DeTorrice, Dana Waddell, Amy DeTorrice and Joseph Grzelak, sister-in-law Cathy Grzelak, Niece Paula ( Andrew) Gorski, Nephew Donald (Brooke) Grzelak and many cousins. A private memorial service will be held in Moab, Utah at a later date for Vince and his wife Karen.
Donations in Vince’s name can be given to the Abbie Hunt Bryce Home 4760 Pennwood Dr. Indianapolis, IN 46205, a hospice facility that he spent his last days or the American Cancer Society.
