Carla Spurlin

January 17, 1949 - September 6, 2020

On Sunday, September 6, 2020, Carla (Glowner) Spurlin passed away at the age of 71. Carla was born on January 17, 1949 in Gaffney, SC to Carl and Marge (Wylie) Glowner.

Carla had a passion for fishing and was a member of the Bass N Gals for several years. She enjoyed competing in tournaments, but especially loved fishing with her family just for fun. Carla’s love of the sun, sand, and water led her to living in Florida for several years before returning to Indiana to be closer to family.

Carla is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Daniele Treece; brothers, Randy and Robbie Glowner; and both parents.

She is survived by long term partner, James Green; daughters, Michelle (Bennie) Treece, Richelle (Bob) McWhirter, and Christina (Scott) Sullivan; brothers, Rick (Carolyn), Ron (Rosalyn), Rusty (Christy), and Ray (Stephanie) Glowner; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 1 PM to 3 PM at the First Baptist Church of Greenwood located at 99 West Main Street, Greenwood, IN.

Carla is at peace now, no longer suffering. She is welcomed by many loved ones in heaven. May she rest in peace and keep watch over us all.
