John P. Crimmins, 73, of Mooresville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 surrounded by his wife and children. John was born in Oak Park, IL on March 4, 1947 to John (Jack) Crimmins and Phyllis (Cook) Crimmins.
He attended St. Paul Catholic School and Bennett High School in Marion, IN. He graduated from Vincennes University and enlisted in the Air Force, where he worked on the aircraft stationed at Camron Bay during the Vietnam War. John married Debbie (Costin) Crimmins on August 24, 1975.
John was an Industrial Sales Engineer for many years, retiring about 15 years ago. John loved being a ham radio operator, IU basketball, the Pacers, the Colts, and politics. John was blessed with three children and six grandchildren that he dearly loved.
Survivors include his wife; children, Derek Crimmins of Mooresville, IN, Holly (Carl) Carson of Avon, IN, and Samantha (Gary) Franklin of Greenwood, IN; grandchildren, Cole and Carson Crimmins, Michael Carson, Felicity Terry, Olivia and Victoria Franklin; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Joe Certain of Marion, IN; and brother, Steve Crimmins of Winter Park, FL.
John is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jeff.
There will be a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1200 North Indiana St., Mooresville, IN, where he was a member. Calling will be at 9:30 a.m. A Celebration of John’s Life will be on September 12, 2020 at The Legion, 100 Legion Lane, Pittsboro, IN, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
