Ashley Marlene Cope

January 9, 1988 - July 5, 2020

Ashley Marlene Cope, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away from complications of cardiomyopathy on July 5, 2020. She was born on January 9, 1988 and was a lifelong Indianapolis resident.

She’s leaving behind two beautiful children, Vaden, 11, and Avaya “Tink”, 9; father, Gary Cope; step-dad, Timothy Nugent; older brother, Anthony; sister in law, Michele; younger brother, Chase; four nephews; a niece; as well as, many other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mom, Marlene Nugent.

Always missing you Ashley. Love you girl.

Ashley is my stepdaughter, and there's any family in this world knows there is no such thing as a perfect family, or relationship. Teaching you the hospitality industry was one of the most rewarding things in my life. You are a natural oh, you took care of people sometimes before you take care of yourself. I love you and there's not a moment that goes by did I can hear you, see you and no it's you are always watching over me and your two beautiful children.. and the festival safe in the words of The Reverend Jacqueline Means, " it is not a time for us to mourn because she would not want this but it's called a Celebration of life, because that's what she would have wanted. Sing her praise to Arlo Mighty God and let her love rain down on God's children".

So sad to hear this. I not only knew her family but Ashley was a student at Wayne Enrichment Center. She had many loved ones waiting to welcome her with open arms.

I am so sorry for the loss of Ashley. Prayers for her family, and especially her children.
